Artist Statement For the last eleven years I have been working exclusively on art concerning the human figure. The representational work is more physically orientated and takes a look at people for portraits. The surreal work is more mentally orientated and takes an intimate look at feelings and conflicts. I'm interested in closely observing and listening to people. My work expresses the unconscious interaction between the subject and myself. I use dream imagery and symbols to express my internal conflicts. Devotion to people and to understanding myself is the emphasis of this body of work. the process reveals unconscious desire.
